The current edition of the standard was issued in August 2021 as the third edition and was developed using U.S. Transportation Security Administration's Pipeline Security Guidelines (March 2018.) It was written to support owner/operators of pipelines including natural gas and hazardous liquid transmission, natural gas distribution pipeline systems, liquified natural gas facilities, propane air facilities, and others.
