Summary:

The current edition of the standard, 2022, includes provisions for cybersecurity, as fire alarm systems and emergency communication systems are increasingly connected to other building systems and networks, which can create vulnerabilities for cyber attacks. Annex J recommends certification of fire alarm alarm and emergency communication systems as per 62443-4-2 (among other standards including UL2900-2-3). Next edition is due in 2025.
